Will raised tobacco legal age stop young people smoking?

Now that the legal minimum age for purchasing tobacco has been raised from 16 to 18, will less young people take up smoking? Should the responsibility fall to retailers, or should it be illegal to smoke at 16? Have your say.

Raise the age to 18 for all grown up activities, drinking , smoking, armed forces, sex, driving, everything. Lower the age that judges have to retire to 60.

When it was 16 kids still smoked now it is 16 they still smoke. kids will always find a way to smoke. raising the age limit will not stop them they will find a way to buy them. they always have.
