Religious beliefs encourage individuals to be more helpful and generous, according to research published in the journal Science.
But do you believe that organised religion has a monopoly on morality? Or is it possible to be a nice person and not believe in a higher power? Would there be conflict without faith? Share your thoughts.
religion makes no one nicer, how can it when religion as it is being used today is so far from the truth. follow the commandments of the new testament will start you on the right road. love the lord god with all your heart and soul, love your neighbor as your self.

BTW you are just as controlled as the next man, you are governed by laws, you fear the consequences of breaking those laws, so whats the difference between you and the average church goer??
Hi Dave from Scotland
Mahatma Gandhi had a game plan some would call it a philosophy and he worked hard at it.
He was convinced his methods would work and with diligence to his own beliefs and a dogmatic attitude he carried out his master plan to free India from the rule of the British Empire.
In doing so he built up a huge following that supported him all the way.
Violence without violence; yes that was his way.
Mahatma Gandhi was no fool, he was really quite an astute and clever individual, he never felt the need to insult people, read some of his books, you maybe learn a bit of respect for others.
Hi Dave from Scotland
Is it not enough that the people of the world have been fed a lie for 2000 years?
