Southwark Cathedral ban Jerusalem hymn

Senior clergy at Southwark Cathedral in London say that the hymn Jerusalem is "not to the glory of God" and have banned its use from most services. What do you think of this action?

    This is a beautiful hymn known by so many people. What a shame there are the few who spoil it for the majority.

    once again we see the arrogance of the PC brigade.
    It is the choice of the individual to attend churchservices.
    So many people in this once free nation have loved this hymn so if some sneaky new laws (that we don't yet know about , because there seem to be quite a lot) have been broken it should not be banned..
    Have the traditional Christmas hymns been banned as well?
    What has happened to to Christmas carols and nativity scenes? Schools are not holding carol services any more so is our Christian belief now being phased out as well ??
