Is the Post Office doomed?

Is the Post Office doomed?

As many as 2,500 community Post Offices are set to close across the country, and the figure could rise to 6,500. Do you think the stamp of death for one of Britain’s best-loved institutions is drawing ever nearer? What, if anything, can be done to get the Post Office sorted?

If the media as a whole were to expose what our MP's are doing to this country concerning our membership of the EU, which is selling England down the River, then and only then, will people realise why our Post Offices are closing down. We were promised a referendum and never got it. Why are we being told that we don't need one! We so clearly do. It will not stop at the Post Offices.

I doubt if there is an adult in this country who does,nt know what a post office is for. So why are they spending x amount of pounds on advertising. Wendy richards and the duck are not diong this for free.

Yes I think they are all doomed. There is so much we can do online these days for exsample I have just payed my car tax on line for the 1st time and I will do it from now on. It just saves time getting to a post office, queing up in 1, Trying to get there on your work breaks because of the limited times they are open. Its not good for those who work in them or for those who have not got access to the internet and those who have not got transport and live in country side areas but I can't see away around it.

1 This is a neccesssary service
It must not be another profit making opportunity
2 Post Offices need to remain in the centre of communities
BUT the government wants us not to use cars
We need access to a post office
    How do we get there?
No public transport (or no affordable public transport)
I can see no logical reasoning here
