We welcome lively debate on all topics. As a content provider, we want to make sure that content is appropriate, and we believe some of the more 'iffy' topics may require a higher degree of editorial integrity. Therefore, we moderate in two different ways.

Reactive moderation
Comment boards marked with a green card are moderated reactively.

Comments made on the majority of our Soundbites discussions are published almost immediately. While this helps you to express yourself easily, it also means we rely on you to be vigilant and report content that is inappropriate.

Our trusty moderators will remove posts that don’t follow our House rules or Terms of use as soon as they are alerted. Persistent offenders may face further action.

Pre-moderation
Comment boards marked with a yellow card are pre-moderated.

You may notice a Soundbites comment board change from reactive moderation to pre-moderation. This means that posts made to this board require approval by a moderator before being published. Posts that don't follow the rules will be blocked.

We do this with boards where we see a high level of inappropriate content or disruptive behaviour, in order to ensure that the Soundbites boards remain an enjoyable experience for all.
