A new museum in Kentucky is rewriting the science books and instead preaching evangelical America's creationism theories (the belief that God created the earth and all life) through exhibits that include dinosaurs on Noah's Ark. Scientists say the museum is spreading lies, but polls suggest half of all Americans don't believe in evolution. Is it possible to believe in God and still accept evolutionary theory?
Abracadabra! Allakazam! Thou shalt only evolve in a limited manner!
Limited evolution without 'mystic barriers to change' or 'magic limits' or 'pixie dust'? I wonder if we will ever see such an idea outside fairy tales!
Religious belief is pure assumption.
hi says:limited changes can be observed in bacteria, parts of evolution being true doesnt mean it is all true and therefore there must be no god or creator,what an assumption;
GG : OK hi I gave you the chance to find out what was wrong with your statement the other day but you obviously didn't bother to find out. Anyway let's look at today's comment. You say 'limited changes can be observed in bacteria'. You accept that it happens because it can be observed. What you can't accept is evolution that you can't observe (or understand). OK, I'll go along with it that you can't accept what you can't observe there is no shame in that. So for you 'God' did it. Can I presume that you have observed God? If you haven't then your argument is illogical and an assumption. Finally it is undoubtedly possible to believe in God and evolution. God, however, can only ever be an assumption.
Ideas are not facts.
