Can we learn to love traffic wardens?

The Government has issued new guidelines aimed at reducing the number of vehicle clampings in an effort to improve the public’s perception of traffic wardens.

Traditionally, traffic wardens have numbered among the nation’s most hated figures, along with other professions such as estate agents. Are traffic wardens a waste of space, or do they perform a necessary function?

Can we ever learn to love them? Have your say.

Mrs, H from Manchester, If you are breaking the law then you get a ticket end of... nonsense, However, if hubby had pulled HIS finger out a bit at school, he wouldn't be on the legal minimum wage now!

My husband is the dreaded traffic warden!!! Firstly, despite what people think they do not have good wages (obviously every area is different) and they do NOT get bonus's for tickets they get because if they did I would be very rich!!
My hubby started his job 18 months ago on minimum wage after 18 months it has slightly improved but not very much. The abuse my hubby gets is crazy - you wouldn't speak to the police like that yet they are doing a job to save them doing it on a fraction of the wage. It is a JOB to get wages and pay bills and put food on the table - it's not a hobby!
If you are breaking the law then you get a ticket end of there's no need to threaten or shout abuse at someone doing their job when at the end of the day my hubby does it to provide for his family.
The comments people make is hateful playground talk - GROW UP!
