David Cameron claimed in his Party Conference speech that he has "courage, leadership and a strongly Conservative vision for Britain" and rejected Brown’s appeal to the importance of experience, insisting that character and judgement matter more.
Do you believe that Cameron has what it takes to steer Britain through financial turmoil, or does Brown’s past make him better qualified? Is it about personality or experience?Simon, it's clear that you're severaly ideologically blinkered, from the outset. How do you think we had several years of 'unprecedented' prosperity (that from the Financial Times, not me) and growth? By accident? By a Tory legacy? not a chance - if the Tories has been successful, they'd still be in power. That's why Labour had three election victories on the bounce, two by virtual landslides. If you choose to ignore the facts that's your problem, not mine. Oh, and the other fact that Gordon is closing the gap on a clearly clueless Cameron and 2-boats Osborne. Live with that, and the voting pattern on here.
why don't you just agree that all governments are crappy and not many politicains are actually in it for altruistic reasons. They are all crummy and no one is perfect. They all make mistakes, compound those mistakes and walk away scott free. The real power is elsewhere and that is where your attention should be focused, as they are the enemy and they control your lives.
Martin,
How brainwashed can you get-Brown was the worst Chacellor we've ever had, and is now leading us all into bankrupcy-and that's on top of his Stalinist traits-the man is a nightmare!
There is, and there remains, no question that Gordon is the best man for the job. Cameron would be an absolute and unmitigated disaster, beyond any shadow of a doubt. Amen.
"This Labour government took over a strong economy left by M.Thatcher"
~
Utter drivel - the economy was in ruins, admittedly Brown only did a cosmetic job on it when Labour got in, but the real decline of this country was the result of failed Tory policies which wasted 18 years and all the wealth from North Sea Oil which could have been wisely invested instead of being squandered.
