It’s been a year since Gordon Brown took over the reins from Tony Blair, and he’s had some tough challenges to face. Foot and mouth outbreaks, summer floods, the Northern Rock crisis and his dithering over the possibility of an October election have all conspired to make Brown a decidedly unpopular PM.
But how do you rate his performance over the last 12 months? Look back on Gordon’s first school term and write his end-of year report.

La Resistance!
From Paris comes the news
14th September 2008
A friend in Paris, one Yvette Murat has sent me a report of Moslems stoning ambulances and fire and police vehicles, with several cars burnt in protest at Paris politicians attending a 9/11 Memorial. Yvette is a Member of La Resistance! and runs our French end of things. We call these people Tribunes of the People in memory of the brave Roman tribunes of old sworn to uphold the law and prevent a magistrate or state official, from harming a citizen or passing laws harmful to the state....
La Resistance now has around 1200 members in the uk and I am told our numbers are growing across Europe and in America. Exact figures and member's names are deliberately left 'fuzzy', because if things do get nasty, then we cannot reveal what we do not know, even if they do resort to the favourite German manicure of pulling our fingernails out, or practicing dentistry on members who have been rounded up. We hope we do not reach this stage of course but knowing history as I do, it most likely will and only groups such as ours will be left to defend and fight back.We are not armed though and have no intention of being, unless forced to do so by attacks made upon us by you know who....
The EU is a monster believe me.
The mayor of Paris has made a big thing according to Yvette about Ramadan but totally ignored the Pope on his visit to Paris, even though France is still mainly Catholic. The Moslems rioted about this too it seems and local 'Community leaders' have lodged protests about the Pope's visit to an Islamic city called PARIS, calling it insensitive so close to 9/11. one bit of grafitti instructed the 'Crusader Pope' to 'Go home!' It never fails to amaze me just how arrogant some of Allah's following are. I know that many French cities and towns are populated by large migrant populations but to term Paris a Moslem city is just plain ridiculous, as it is other towns. However France like other European states, has a huge Moslem population and rebellion is now an annual event, with troops rather than police being deployed for the first time trained to fight in streets. Many of the French high rise banlieu are now armed it seems. I was also informed by Yvette that up to 20 to 30% of young people in France are Moslem- their youth outnumber the native born in many areas.
on the bright side, the Pope's visit was not spoilt as he was welcomed by hundreds of thousands of people in Paris and at Lourdes, where 23,000 cars are expected and nearly as many coaches according to Yvette. I ask you to pray for the Church today and for a resurgence of Christianity across Europe, because I feel it is the only answer to the creeping invasion and subjugation of Europe by Islamists.
Why people have not woken up to this threat beggars belief actually. I suppose one should be a little more understanding of people's reluctance to confront this situation, given the nastiness of our own governments who regularly chastise anybody that dare protest. My other question is how can any sane politician or regime, allow or more likely encourage our submission to the very worst form of Islam, namely Wahabism that encourages women to be beaten and hanged for allowing themselves to be raped, or that it is fine to marry and have sex with young girls even before puberty. Mind you nothing shocks me about the EU anymore and its wickedness. It seems to this writer that the EU and its denizens rejoice in the perverse and unpleasant, and the more nasty the better.
I reckon they have done a deal with the Arabs for oil and money to fund their EuroProject, part of the deal being to flood Europe with Moslems and replace not only Christianity but the natives as well. At present trends, the Moslems will outnumber us within thirty years, although estimates vary.. What really irks Sati and I is that, many Moslems came to Europe to get away from Wahabism, only to find it being imposed here and across Europe.
In 1973 the West messed itself in panic and the cutting off of oil, when the Arabs threatened to bankrupt the western economies. And today too they are playing the economic fiddle again, in order to show the effete western world who is boss. The collapse of several airlines is the result and more will follow. How any politician past or prsent, can allow this to happen and sleep at night beats me too. We should be prepared to stick two fingers up at thees camel herders, even if it means hardship for a while, it is better to live like that rather than give into thugs with an eye on the till and oil power. The longer we leave it, the more likelihood of war...And when it comes it will be bloody indeed and like the last two, could have so easily been prevented had we steeled ourselves to act like grown men and women....
The Arabs rely upon Western money to survive. They produce nothing of any value as an Imam friend in Slough told me recently. He is a sufi and a very nice fellow and also at a great loss to understand why we put up with it all. We can baknrupt the arabs over night believe me..... They are as soft as putty, especially when faced with the armed might of the West. Our idiot leaders are still fightoing the Cold War or trying to rekindle it. Russia today is a Christian land and we should be making alliances with it, not trying to encircle
it! A joint Northern Alliance would have the nearest Arabs dashing on their camels to the negotiation tabel as they see their decadent lifestyles under threat. With the growing menace of a nuclear armed Iran, that time may be very close at hand indeed. Puin even asked to join NATO and our fools refused to allpw this! What errant stupidity!
Church of England apologises to Charles Darwin
via Cranmer by Cranmer on 15/09/08
Cranmer is sick and tired of this utter nonsense. It makes the Church of England look and sound even more ridiculous that it already does - if that were possible. In the creation of a cohesive society and for the pursuit of the common good, it is conceivable that one might entertain an apology to the descendants of slaves for the role the Church played in that trade, and even to attempt some sort of bridge-building exercise with Muslims by apologising for the Crusades. But who exactly is the target audience for an apology addressed to Charles Darwin? Who is grieving for reconciliation?
Some scientists dismiss the gesture as ‘ludicrous’; Mr Darwin’s descendants describe it as ‘pointless’, and Ann Widdecombe wonders why the Italians aren’t apologising for Pontius Pilate.
The apology is written by the Rev Dr Malcolm Brown. It raises so many issues of credibility that Cranmer is at a loss to know where to begin.
Apparently, the apology is ‘for misunderstanding his theory of evolution’. Apart from the fact that the Church has historically ‘misunderstood’ far more important things, the Church of England did not actually ‘misunderstand’ Darwin’s theory at all, not least because (as always) it was divided on the issue. The bishops understood completely the significance of the nexus of the theory (and theory it remains) - that man is the progeny of apes. It really is so simple that even a bishop in the Church of England can comprehend it. Looking at the similarity between Mr Darwin and Dr Williams, it may indeed be adduced that they have a common hairy ancestor. But believers were and are divided into those who perceive this theory to be anti-Scripture and profoundly evil, and those for whom it is but another possible explanation of how God created, totally consistent with Scripture.
It is possible to be so preoccupied by atoning vicariously for the sins of one’s predecessors that one ceases to be aware of one’s personal failures and shortcomings.
While the Archbishop of Canterbury purports to apologise on behalf of the Church of England, he most certainly does not apologise on behalf of Cranmer, or, he suspects, on behalf of millions of Anglicans who have an understanding of church teaching or writing which is time-bound or culture-bound. If he continues along this path, Dr Williams will find himself apologising on behalf of Jesus for choosing to become incarnate in a backward time and strange land. He ought to at least apologise for not waiting until the era of mass communication – spreading the gospel could have been so much easier via the internet.
But even more bizarrely, the Church has addressed its contrition directly to the Victorian scientist himself, even though he died 126 years ago.
Why on earth is the Church of England addressing the dead?
At least Cranmer can agree with one line of the apology:
‘People, and institutions, make mistakes and Christian people and Churches are no exception.’
The Church of England is certainly no exception. one wonders if this ‘apology’ is simply a political move to distance itself from the furore surrounding ‘Creationism’. It seems it is now a sin to engage in the philosophical dimension of science, and heresy to question any aspect of the scientific method - even when practitioners of that method elevate theory to fact.
Are we sorted? The loonies come on every morning I am sick of having them removed. Going to post some stuff now, shove our posts along. The post that set them off today was from Guy Leven Torres I'll put it on here in a minute
