The police should make young thugs’ lives as uncomfortable as possible by following them around and filming them wherever possible, according to the Home Secretary. Jacqui Smith is expected to admit that ASBOs aren’t working and that more radical solutions are called for. How do you think we should tackle the issue of anti-social behaviour?

PITY the PM and his government dont read the comments on these discussion boards. Can they not be passed on to 10 Downing Street and it will give them something to do. Because they sure arent listening to the voters who put them there in the first place.
This government tends to just sweep things under the carpet. Anything for an easy life.......

I agree with Jim from Dudley, it's a shame that they can't identify the riff-raff before they are born and then prevent it from happening.
Mind you, I read somewhere that in the case of some child abusers, the law can ban them from having children. If this is the case, why can't the same law be applied to criminals and dole families? If a parent has a serious criminal record, or can't be shifted off benefits, they could ban them from having kids.
I know the political correctness brigade will be up in arms about it - but let's face it, these scum don't just come from nowhere. If their parents are a waste of space, the kids probably will be too. After all, prevention is better than cure.

I have heard a lot about bringing back the death penalty, I know this seems a bit harsh but is it not time we brought back corporal punishment?. Can you imagine all the little sh#ts who like to fight and hurt others getting a taste of their own!. I reckon the crime rate would go down by half. I was naughty in school in the late 50's and was whacked across the knuckles, never was naughty again. Punish the children who know they are doing wrong and revel in it.These kids have ti learn right from wrong, and lets face it their parents are not going to teach them!.

With all the medical advances, it's a pity we can't identify the 'scumbag' gene whilst still in the womb - then we could eradicate all the troublemakers before they draw their first breath!!

Have I got this right 'follow them around and film them' as a cure for anti social behavior ? Oh goodie goodie why not give them equity cards and then we could pay them as well(and perhaps royalties for reruns?) Or we could pat them on the head and tell them what good misunderstood little boys and girls they are.
