Under-14s should not be held responsible for their actions and should never be locked up in children’s homes or young offender institutions, according to The Prison Reform Trust. Their report calls for the criminal responsibility age to be raised from 10 to 14, claiming incarceration doesn't deter under-14s, since 75% of them reoffend within a year of release. Do you agree?

I think it should be lowered also all parents and children should be named and shamed the parent should go to jail for a while and the children should go to some sort of borstal off course this will not happen too harsh for the little darlings
I have to deal with these types of people on a daily basis and unfortunately these kids dont give a s**t and they have no respect for other people and the authorities. What needs to be done is build more facilities like prison and juvie centres. Then shove them in there for there FULL sentence and have no privilages they only get fed and have books. None of this giving them the latest gadgets and kit they dont deserve anything other than being treated like dirty.
no lower it and name any one that kills even if under 10 years old. we have got to get back to the old ways if you go bad you pay
Dont raise it...lower it and do something about these crimes!
I live in an area with a big gang that call themselves the Honicknowle.Defence.Raiders.
At one point this group was the honicknowle army, protecters of honicknowle!
All that has been done to stop these people is...A.S.B.O's what use are they when they are broken.
one of these people has crippled a boy of only 14, ...he got an asbo...then broke his asbo...got slapped in jail FOR A MonTH!
Unfortunately with the way the world is people dont take responsibility with there actions and that includes us adults. So i believe that you could change the law all you like but really who is going to incarcerate a 14 year old they would just be let off with a slap on the wrists. So in turn i believe that changing the age of criminal responsibility would be about as much use as the recent preposed 'Actions' on knife crime

Should the age of criminal responsibility be raised?
