Under-14s should not be held responsible for their actions and should never be locked up in children’s homes or young offender institutions, according to The Prison Reform Trust. Their report calls for the criminal responsibility age to be raised from 10 to 14, claiming incarceration doesn't deter under-14s, since 75% of them reoffend within a year of release. Do you agree?

there shouldnt be an age limit if a child whatever the age does something wrong should be punished.kids know right from wrong ar an early age, parents should alsotake responsibility for there kids actions.we have kids near us out on the streets to early in the morning up to all sorts, get a grip of your kids there your responsibilty,
We have an ex headmaster in charge of our Homewatch scheme without any consultation but just so kids can be safe money was raised from various funds for an enclosure on our recreational ground, the kids still continue to play on the main road and the enclosure has been a waste of money. My point We have had the last forty years of liberalism thrust upon us which has resulted in the breakdown of almost everything respect, morals, but more importantly basic common sense, it's time for a re-think it's time for change.
Re: Scanning a ten year old's brain. What are they looking for exactly? a single active brain cell perhaps.
2 years ago I went to the house of a neighbour, to speak to them regarding their 2 sons, then aged 8 and 11, who had been running around our estate with a Club Hammer threatening and trying to hit my 2 children. The 8 year old ,after throwing broken glass milk bottles at me whilst I was walking up the driveway towards the house, ran inside and came out seconds later brandishing a Bread Knife above his head and shouting at me that he was going to kill me. If it hadn't been for his sister of 13 being stood next to him and grabbing the Knife as it came towards me I would not be here now to write this!!!! (Their Father was at work and their mother was asleep in bed!!!)
I called the Police and as he was under the age of 10 nothing could be done. Social Services were sent in for a while.
3 weeks ago the older boy physically attacked my son on his way home and told my son that he was going to get him Stabbed and our home set on fire with us in our beds. I called the Police and was told all they could do was to have a word with the Parents. My answer is no, but the Parents should be Punished aswell, as they are the ones who have Morally Neglected their children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEP - more bloody do gooders. Lets ALL OF US - let people just WALK all over us, knife us, rob us, rape us and do wot they like to us.
And then say to them WELL DonE SonNY. These young kids know what they are doing and KNOW they can get away with ANYTHING in this country. You get more time in jail for robbing a bank than murdering someone THIS countRY STINKS. Can you hear that......Yep its other countries laughing their socks off at us.
