Under-14s should not be held responsible for their actions and should never be locked up in children’s homes or young offender institutions, according to The Prison Reform Trust. Their report calls for the criminal responsibility age to be raised from 10 to 14, claiming incarceration doesn't deter under-14s, since 75% of them reoffend within a year of release. Do you agree?

The age of responsibilty should not be lowerd at all! Where has the idea of children being innocent gone? Are we really a nation that believes that children younger the age of 10 should be sentanced like an adult? And where is the emphasis upon the upbringing and curcumstances? If we believe that children are born capable of doing "evil" are we al doomed?
The Adult Jusice system is np place for a child especailly one that has had such an awful upbringing that they have resorted to crime! We as adults need to take a look at the way that we view children and stop and think about it for a while! The united Nations Convention for the rights of the Child believe in a recent report that the uk need to take a look at the way inwhich children are treated within our so say "advanced and developed" country!
