The cost of the 2012 London Olympics could end up reaching £20 billion - 10 times as much as the original estimate, a former 2012 boss has claimed. It has even been suggested that the rising cost of the games will be spread across the UK, with taxpayers who live outside of London footing the bill. Do you think that this is fair?
no let the londoners pay for it!!!
it well not help us in the southwest.
I would bet my last £1 that because of the credit crunch the olympic bill will go sky high because businesses fail to sponsor the event..
Down to the tax payer then..
No good blaming the next government unless it't Labour, for this foley.
Remember all you voters you voted in this government so don't complain when your taxes have to go up to pay for a two week event.
PS Eastern european builders please form an orderely que for work
Presently their are not enough armed police in the uk to cover the security of this event.. I wonder if we'll be shipping in eurocops where's the extra money coming from ?
Maybe China should be the last olympics
Londoner's probabley didn't want it but
Tony Blair did and Ken Livingstone.
Their both gone lets default or use what we have. Lets lead the world by bring back common sense stop spending billions on super running tracks when their are lots of fields available.
Please Boris put a cap on the funding and say enough enough of these grand gestures I'm sure zimbarwi couldn't afford a bid
no, why should we, we pay enough for everything else, for example, road tax petrol and council tax.
