The cost of the 2012 London Olympics could end up reaching £20 billion - 10 times as much as the original estimate, a former 2012 boss has claimed. It has even been suggested that the rising cost of the games will be spread across the UK, with taxpayers who live outside of London footing the bill. Do you think that this is fair?
No! They (the politicians that is) were so keen to run the games, knowing that it always costs about 5 times more than deliberately claimed in planning, and they (thank goodness!) prevented Manchester from making the same disastrous mistake, they should pay for it. If Londoners don't like it, they can ditch the politicians and scrap the idea, next election. Do that! Please!! Why should I pay for something for which a) I'll get no benefit and b) never wanted in the first place.
If somebody wants something, then it's up to them to pay for it themselves, not expect someone else to cough up towards its cost. LonDon wanted the Olympic Games, (for the third time), so why isn't LonDon paying for their own greed?.
No! No! No! No!
The Olympic Games should always be held in Greece, and the participating countries should all chip in a bit to pay for it.
It would be so much cheaper on money and the earth's precious resources if it was always in the same place. Greece is the obvious choice and they certainly put on a good show when it was there last time.
They`ll have to sell a few more jellied eels to pay for that lot! Greace should pay it was there idea in the first place.
