Should all UK taxpayers foot the bill for the London Olympics?

The cost of the 2012 London Olympics could end up reaching £20 billion - 10 times as much as the original estimate, a former 2012 boss has claimed. It has even been suggested that the rising cost of the games will be spread across the UK, with taxpayers who live outside of London footing the bill. Do you think that this is fair?

yes let all the poor people who didnt want it pay for it, we didnt want a crap NHS system but we all pay for that, if fact we all pay for the crap things in this country so just add something else that we dont want.
there should be a system better than voting to get MPs out of office

No, let London pay for it.
I do not see why the rest of the country should pay for something that is nothing more than a regeneration of the London area that SHOULD have been funded by London itself, instead our government found it a 'wheeze' to charge us all to do up this dirty DUMP.

I think only the people who want it, and I am not one of them, and the developers, sponsors any everyone else who will benifit from what is left after the games have finished shouldput up the money. In the end it is us mugs who have to pay, and other people will gain, like the Dome fiasco when we have to pay millions and it is given away. I am totally opposed to the Olympic games, and will be in New Zealand when it is on, but we are not given a voice, but all the suporters are constanly going on about it and it is being rammed down our throats. Don't wory though, the maximum cost of 9 Billion will increase, most of it will go to foreign companys and the taxpayer will still have to find the money.

I know - as its the Londoners that are being made the scapegoats to pay for this (some of whom didnt actually want it anyway !) why not only broadcast it to the London TV regions - I dont see why the rest of the country should benefit in watching it with the 'let them pay for it' atitude - typical of this country and it makes me sick !! Londoners are also faced with increased fuel costs, etc etc you know.
