The cost of the 2012 London Olympics could end up reaching £20 billion - 10 times as much as the original estimate, a former 2012 boss has claimed. It has even been suggested that the rising cost of the games will be spread across the UK, with taxpayers who live outside of London footing the bill. Do you think that this is fair?
Emphatically....NO. I feel these Olympic games have more to do with commercialism than sport, they have grown out of all proportion and in this present financial climate should be scrapped. We Brits never do any good anyway.
why should the people north of watford pay for something in london when people in london think that the country finishes at watford did the people in the south help to fund the games in manchester will they help fund the games in glasgow i think they will ha ha like areek of my fart they will it proves how they are when their lord mayor was dressed like atramp in china at the closing of the olimpic games why do londoners always say london is the capital of the united kingdom when scotland //wales//northern ireland all have their own capitals
i think the people who want it should pay for it especialy when things are as bad as it is at the moment i think there are more important things they could be doing with the tax payers money righ now like better hospital treatment the jobless and the poverty stricken famillies and careing for its own rather than the minority who choose sport as a employment and also trying to outdo other countries to see who can do the best in making great stadiums and who has the better firework displays do we really care i know i dont id rather my hard earned tax was put to better use to benifit our way of life and help our country
Did our southern population contribute anything to the commonwealth games in Manchester? I ask the question because I don't know.
The southerners have this overbearing attitude that they are superior to us bumpkins, they wanted the games let them get on with it and pay for them,
Enjoy.
The cost of living is high enough as it is, so why should people who are not interested in sport have to pay extra to live for something they do not want. fed and hard up pensioner.
