Conservative MP Edward Leigh has claimed that drunken yobs are acting like “an occupying army” in town centres after dark, and that persistent young offenders view Asbos as a way of life. Do you feel safe to walk the streets at night? Are the government doing enough to tackle drunken thuggish behaviour, or is the problem getting worse?
Any town centre in the uk is full of drunken morons,Thanks to our glorious government, and lack of police.
Why, whenever there's a perceived "problem" with crime are the government supposed to do something to tackle it? It's the police's job to stop crime, by definition crime is already illegal, what more can the government do? The only thing needed is more money for the police to hire more plods, and a directive to stop harrassing motorists and start arresting street-thug.
Occupying Army...? You want to see Central Southampton after dark, it is wall to wall drunks, yobs and mega intellectual people.
The streets are safe, no one is assaulting the streets, gbh'ing the pavement, stealing tarmac.... the streets are fine , its the s**THEADS using the streets as toilets, places to puke, places to scream, bleed and fight....
a 70 year old man told me stories about the gangs in derby when he was a lad.... one from Belper called themselves the `Nailers', used to go out tooled up with hammers in their belts, another from town used to have razor blades wrapped in handkerchiefs around their knuckles.... this was in 1930...? Nowt's changed youth, folk just moan more nowadays.
