Yobs making town centres no-go areas

Conservative MP Edward Leigh has claimed that drunken yobs are acting like “an occupying army” in town centres after dark, and that persistent young offenders view Asbos as a way of life. Do you feel safe to walk the streets at night? Are the government doing enough to tackle drunken thuggish behaviour, or is the problem getting worse?

OK social experiment over. Time for the MET police to revert from a service back to what it was a FORCE.. The force is needed to get knife carrying yobs off the street.. All PCs to carry Tasers for protection.
And to use them on kids with knives

Ever watched that film 'The warriors' from the 1970's? well pretty soon it will be like that only they wont be punching each other or getting dolled up in makeup and fancy dress... nope... all out drug wars with guns and knives aplenty... whats that? ..eh? ...Its happening already?? .... now that does not surprise me. Expect what we have now x 10 in the near future as money will be tight, so crime goes up up up and UP.

I guess you could go into virtually any town centre in the uk on a Saturday night and see drunken yobbish behaviour from both male and female pond life. We've got something seriously wrong with our society, and I can't see any solution in my lifetime. That's why I'm in the process of moving to Portugal. Can't wait to get away from this depressing dump. How sad it all is when I remember how society was when I was younger... and no, I'm not wearing rose tinted spectacles when I look back.

So, we've had CCTV forced upon us in order to "protect" us. Why hasn't that improved matters? Because thats not why its there. Its there to control those of us who are already obeying the law - not to control the thugs who are an increasing problem
