Do you support council workers’ proposed strike?

Britain could see a mass load of strikes this summer, with rubbish going uncollected and schools left shut, as hundreds of thousands of council workers threaten a walkout over a 2.45% pay rise. Do you support industrial action from workers in the public sector? Have your say.

do they realise that if they get a payrise so will the counsil tax to pay for it,im on a reltivly low wage, work hard for my money and i accept my wage,if they dont like their job then they should change it, all they will do for me is take money out of my pocket for sevices which are constantly being reduced and cut

By the sound of it Victor. I work in a high stress environment. unlike the brush pushers and cleaners where phisical work is less stressful. I earn my For Holidays a year. I ve worked hard for my big house and fancy car and household staff and i get reasonable salary for my efforts. If victor would like a job like mine then "Get a Haircut And Get A Real Job"

yes people get the wrong message when it says council workers it should say manual staff in the town hall here there was 49 people on over £50.000 last year this year its 109 was it told to anyone no we also have leaders and chief exes who go to china a couple of times a year on friendship vists which all cost the tax payers but when you have manual staff who are on £15.000/£17,000 a year if you are lucky and that 50% of staff are temps or agency when they ask for a raise in line with inflation they are told no we have no money they say it will cost jobs which is what they want as if any one leaves they are replaced with a temp who they can fire at will as they have no rights so of course i support them managers private or council always say they have on money but all have big houses big cars and two or three holidays abroard each year to them you are just a number
