Britain could see a mass load of strikes this summer, with rubbish going uncollected and schools left shut, as hundreds of thousands of council workers threaten a walkout over a 2.45% pay rise. Do you support industrial action from workers in the public sector? Have your say.

At times like these, we should all be striking and letting whoever-is-running-the-country-at-the-moment know that we will not put up with their chicanery any longer. Our average wage and working conditions are among the lowest in Europe. Instead of allowing ourselves to be manipulated into fighting each other with the usual "they shouldn't be allowed" brigade, let us all strike and show solidarity against the government.
thanks to Paul from peterbough for his comments. But i started at the bottom and worked my way up to quite a high position. it is not my fault if you had no ambition to get on in life. try to be more positive and be thankful for all you've got. Please read my comments on the lowest paid. Thankyou to everybody else for their support.
my experience of council workers is that they are lazy, ignorant, forgetful, uncaring cretins who want more money but don't want to do any actual work. when they do work they do a sloppy job and then they enjoy an extra long lunch break.
i'm not saying all workers are useless but the majority are.
i'm currently waiting to get my leaking toilet repaired. god knows when that will happen.
my parents are waiting for a new heating system to be put in their new bungalow. god knows when that'll happen.
my brother has just moved into a new council flat only to discover there's a hole in the roof. god only knows when that will be fixed. the workmen should have noticed a hole in the roof and fixed it before he moved in but apparently workmen don't have eyes. not workmen that work for the council anyway.
the binmen are unbelievably lazy. bins are on wheels for heaven's sake. it's not like they have to carry them on their backs. the recycling blokes are no better. if stuff falls from your bin or green box while they are being emptied do they pick it up? no. that's too much hard work.
these people complain about poor wages. try living on no wages and see how you fair then. if you don't like your job give it up to someone else. all jobs pay at least nmw. that's at least twenty grand a year. that's riches compared to what i'm living on. you should all be grateful you have a job and if you want a raise i suggest you start earning it by actually doing some work, instead of hiding in your offices and pretending you're not in.
no !!!!!!!!!1
NO, if they do not like the working conditions or pay rates...Let them quit, plenty of unemployed people looking for jobs.
