Apparently, 42% of us are too scared to leave our homes at night due to fear of yobs. A third of people have also called the police to tackle problems with local troublemakers. And 65% think that under-16s shouldn't be allowed out at night.
Are you scared to leave your home? What measures do you think should be taken to resolve this? Should we tackle the parents? Should kids have curfews?
I hate to say it but the problem really is no-one wants to do anything. phone the police and they will say that we didn't see it so its your word against theirs and there's six of them. if you can get someone to take you seriously they either can't be prosicuted because they are too young
or its their first time in court so its a slap on the wrist. if they complain you are straight to court first offence or not you are fined, jailed or publicly stripped of dignaty.
Isn't it strange how we are the ones who are locking ourselves up in our own little secure 'cells', while the criminals are roaming free outside, ruling the streets and town centres. What a crazy, upside down world we are living in.
the place is rough the people r rough, but thy be good old sorts, even the chavs
Iv Just been woke up by mindless vandels kicking 10 bells out of all the cars parked on the road were i live. I rang the police ill still be waiting in 2 weeks time for them to come out. These morons that go round doing this damage know the police dont come out. They stand on the street and ask what we going to do about it, But if we touch the little B------ds its us that are arrested within the hour. The law protects the criminals.
I do walk the street at night but with my very nasty dogs. i wouldnt on my own. Soon as they leave school send them in the army for 5 years with an evil R S M.
Yes I do people like Rose from uk are allowed to roam the streets at any time of day or night. You don't know what sort of nutcase you could bump into. Some people like Boris Johnson even wander the streets, no wonder our kids feel they need to protect themselves with a weapon and end up using it on somebody.
