Apparently, 42% of us are too scared to leave our homes at night due to fear of yobs. A third of people have also called the police to tackle problems with local troublemakers. And 65% think that under-16s shouldn't be allowed out at night.
Are you scared to leave your home? What measures do you think should be taken to resolve this? Should we tackle the parents? Should kids have curfews?
My Mother a 69 year old was attacked on the local park by chav scum just last week. Mansfield is falling to pieces
not being funny i used to hang out at streets late at night with mates but we dint attack no one. we only attack if they started on us. people shouldnt be intimidated by hoodies if u do then they'll win. i wore my hooide in the rain and people gave me looks but i only wanted to keep my head dry lmaooo
Of course im not.And anyone who is is a complete wimp who probably jumps at their own shadow. We once had proud tough people who didnt take nonsense from anyone. Now you hear a few stories in the paper and your petrified.
just like to say that since the bristol police stepped up their helicopter patrols over our area crime has went down but there should be more cycle patrols especialy at night. Also there are still mental heads driving cars at high speeds and doing handbreak turns in our narrow streets usualy on weekends and after 11pm. I say the Bristol police are doing a good job in this area and provided they dont slack or cost cut this area will become once a gain a safeplace to bring up kids.
I'm not scared to go out at night but I find that I prefer not to unless its for dinner or somewhere where we can drive. There are just so many mindless yobs around these days and public transport is not always safe.
