   Newcastle is a multi-racial city, and I like it that way. Variety is good, and I like getting to know people from different backgrounds and cultures. Racism is just being afraid of the unknown. It's understandable in some cases, but it's still weakness, not strength.
   As for the election result, I didn't get who I voted for, but I think it was an honest election so I'm pretty much content.

   labour and it's cronies have ruined our great nation. We are now taxed to high heaven, we have stupid rules that do not work, labour have let in so many immigrants that they have lost track of how many thousands have disappeared into the community. I believe it is high time for a change, bring in the BNP who will get us back on the right track. Do not mix up BNP for National front, BNP are not racist,national front are.

   For Mick Lee: The unions were to blame for the 3 day week. They picketed the coal storage depots so that the coal could not reach the power stations. Inflation was 2,6% when this load of crooks took over. The poll tax, later to become the community charge, meant for the first time, people living in council houses had to pay for the social services THEY USED.
