Should pupils have to stay in school until 17?

Students starting secondary school this week will be legally obliged to attend until they are 17, under new legislation.

Why not we would only br paying to keep them on the dole anyway.
Seriously though school doesn't suit everyone all this does is keep the unemployed figures down and create more frustrated and disillusioned teenagers. A better idea would be to offer them alternative job related training to help them earn a living when they do leave.

i think all kids should be at school until they are 18 and not just 17 after all it mite stop them being on the street all day and night and there may be mroe chance of getting a job ??
