With the local elections taking place this week, we want to know what you'd do if you were councillor for your local area. What's most important to you? What do you want to see changed? Tell us your manifesto!
We learn this evening that Taxpayers will have to pick up the tab for the costs of MPs’ nannies, child minders and nurseries under proposals to further increase the generosity of Parliament’s system of expenses. Under the proposals, MPs will be given child care vouchers that can be used throughout the country and are, of course, tax free.
Although the precise level of support is said to be still under under discussion it is claimed that eligible MPs can expect to claim thousands of pounds per child.
Nice if you can get it i guess.
if i was a counciller in leicester i would make damn sure the MACCANNS took a lie detector test.
WHY THE HELL ARE WE PAYING FOR THREE COUNCILS IN CAMBRIDGSHIRE NonE OF THEM ARE ANY GOOD STILL ITS NOT THEIR MonEY THE WAN*ERS
In our town the local council have built 2 brand new PPI primary schools and they have just found out that they are too small to be fit for purpose. The Chairman of the commitee who passed the contract left shortly afterwards and is now a consultant with the company who design and built the schools. I think this sums up what a uselees bunch of self serving T**ts are doing to OUR towns and cities. They are playing with OUR money and most of them couldn't organise a P*** up in brewery. They couldn't get jobs in the private sector due to them being so thick so they got elected to the council instead. I would personally disband most of the local councils and pay £100k p.a for top class people to run services for us instead of some 5th rate reject who happened to get elected
HEY,RICH from notts.you certainly have the right qualifications for a councillor if not AN M.P
