Should council workers be snooping in our gardens?

Council officers in Lancashire have been assigned to snoop in residents’ back gardens, looking at how many wheelie bins they have, and taking away any ‘unauthorised’ refuse containers.

Officers were seen propping ladders against garden fences to peer into residents’ gardens. Do you think this is going too far? Share your thoughts.

Yes Maisie, I'm afraid and Englishmans or to be PC English Persons home is no longer your castle. Rather a millstone around your neck, and a place to be defended against number of people who are legally allowed to demand entry to it. I'm afraid the erosion of he inviduals rights in this country has been carried out by stealth. Most people are completely unaware of the power of the 'Establishment'. Sadly it will only get worse now that our 'Leader' has signed the Lisbon Treaty,we will now come increasingly under european laws and we have already seen how draconian and stupid they can be. Publishing a paper on how curved a banana can be,and we thought we had cornered the market in bureaucratic stupidity in this country.

Bloody ass holes. Have they got nothing better to talk about? Wew have always been able to see what is in your bins nutters. It is the ones that search them under the cover of darkness you should woory about and they are not council workers.

I think the bin men should be made to wear blindfolds so they can't see what is in our bins.

Oswald. You are right, after my last posting I had a quick look at my deeds and I would have a problem keeping a lot of people off my property. Near enough all council employees have a right to come in and there would be nothing I could do about it.

I doubt very much they would be trespassing,no doubt they will have a bye law which allows them onto your property. I was reading an article the other day which stated, the 'Authorities' Fire,Police,Gas,Electric etc have a list of over one thousand reasons for which they can enter your property. Some democracy eh.
