Should council workers be snooping in our gardens?

Council officers in Lancashire have been assigned to snoop in residents’ back gardens, looking at how many wheelie bins they have, and taking away any ‘unauthorised’ refuse containers.

Officers were seen propping ladders against garden fences to peer into residents’ gardens. Do you think this is going too far? Share your thoughts.

Come in my garden see what you get, you'd be treated as a burgler.
Another waste of money by the council, I know what lets bugger everything up by bring back the weekly fire in the garden, anytime after 6 in the evening, that will sort the rubbish problem out! What will we need bin men for?

Who would want to search a stinking bin anyway. The bins belong to the rate payers, that's where they get the money from in the first place.
Bins were not left on the pavements at 6 - 7 in the morning but were collected in proper way from the garden every week and if you wanted extra boxes and things taken away No Problem. What do we pay our Council tax for anyway !!!! They treat us as stupid .
It's because of European Directive No ******* that is causing the trouble of ground tipping Mr Brown did not give us a Referendum so we are stuck with it. What a mess.
