Council officers in Lancashire have been assigned to snoop in residents’ back gardens, looking at how many wheelie bins they have, and taking away any ‘unauthorised’ refuse containers.
Officers were seen propping ladders against garden fences to peer into residents’ gardens. Do you think this is going too far? Share your thoughts. What I haven't seen mentioned are public litter bins, as on shopping precincts etc. I've seen half-eaten curry and chips, pies, sandwiches, plastic bags, bottles, drinks cans, etc. etc. go into the ones near me. Do they get sorted? I doubt it. Well, they could'nt find anyone to fine for that could they, short of positioning a jobs-worth at every litter bin in the country. Seems it's only the 'sitting duck ' householders they're interested in . Hopefully they 'll soon have reached the 'last straw' with us, and we worms will turn , and not before time too.
it is big brother gone mad.
THIS INTRUSIVENESS into PEOPLES LIVES IS GOING TOO FAR.WHERE WILL IT STOP.HITLER WOULD HAVE BEEN PROULD OF THEM.IT SEEMS THAT OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES ARE BEING ERODED MORE AND MORE ALL ALL THE TIME.AT onE TIME YOU WOULD onLY EVER READ ABOUT SOME,SHIFTY PRIVATE DETECTIVE GOING THROUGH,SOME JELOUS SPOUSES BINS,NOW THE COUNCIL ARE,AT IT.

Should council workers be snooping in our gardens?
