Council tenants who keep up five years of 'good behaviour' should be rewarded with £50,000 to go towards buying their first home, according to a new Tory proposal.
Do you think this would be an effective incentive to keep anti-social behaviour down? Or do you think it would be too much carrot and not enough stick? Have your say.
Another stupid idea rewarding the well behaved council tenant why not punish the trouble causers instead
Some of the individuals wildly in favour of this misguided scheme would be better off if they were offered free family planning advice and contraception instead of even more cash based handouts funded mainly by the more responsible members of society
No f####ing way. They get cheap housing, a lot cannot be bothered to work, sorry all those in social housing who need it. REWARD THEM FOR BEHAVING!!!!!. The uk has become a total farce.
Oh My Good GOD!!!! Tories are back and as MAD as ever. Does this mean I am due £300K for being a good tenant for 30 years???? What a pile of ***t
I work in social housing and know that not all tenants are "scum" but if 3 "good tenants get 50k of tax payers money, that could have built another home for the needy..so if there is money to throw around from the tax payer, use it for the communities benefit, by providing homes Not for the benefit of individuals, who benefit from the hand out...If people want to OWN property then pay for it with thiers, not tax payers money...

Should well-behaved council tenants be rewarded with £50k?
