Council tenants who keep up five years of 'good behaviour' should be rewarded with £50,000 to go towards buying their first home, according to a new Tory proposal.
Do you think this would be an effective incentive to keep anti-social behaviour down? Or do you think it would be too much carrot and not enough stick? Have your say.
Ive never heard such a load of codswallops
law abiding, honest, clean living citizens always get the same....NOTHING!
Why bother discussing it, its not going to happen. Its the daftest thing I have ever heard
I know drug dealers that have had their doors beaten through several times by the police and the council have replaced them with expensive UPVC ones whereas there are decent law abiding people that have been to work cannot get a door fitted or getting shoddy work done or being injured badly whilst decent homes work is being carried out.
The government should look into this scandal
All this is a publicity stunt by the Tories once again and let's hope it backfires in their faces and people see it for what it is

Should well-behaved council tenants be rewarded with £50k?
