Council tenants who keep up five years of 'good behaviour' should be rewarded with £50,000 to go towards buying their first home, according to a new Tory proposal.
Do you think this would be an effective incentive to keep anti-social behaviour down? Or do you think it would be too much carrot and not enough stick? Have your say.
See message below - i may be a council tenent, but i'm a hard working one, who's just not been in the position to buy my house - but i do work hard to pay my rent, bills and i also pay my taxes. not all bad people come from council estates!
Yes they should, i'm a good tenent - so i should get it!!!!! lol. But it wouldn't be me, it would be the tenents who have changed - from behaviour, that is not desirable and then who 'change their spots', so to speak. What about the tenents who have also been good, not for just two years!
4QNRX from mansfield good on people in your area if they do their own repairs, im on about free loaders who ring the council for modern kitchens or new front doors as theirs are maybe 5 years old.so go and suck an apple, you fricking idiot.

Should well-behaved council tenants be rewarded with £50k?
