Council tenants who keep up five years of 'good behaviour' should be rewarded with £50,000 to go towards buying their first home, according to a new Tory proposal.
Do you think this would be an effective incentive to keep anti-social behaviour down? Or do you think it would be too much carrot and not enough stick? Have your say.
LET ME TELL YOU...YOU SCUM...I AM A YOUNG WIDOW...MY HUSBAND WAS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT...OKAYYYYY I AM LEFT WITH 4 YOUNG CHILDREN TO RAISE...I WORK HARD A FULL TIME EMPLOYEE AND A FULL TIME MUM.....SO U LAZY SCUM WITH A SCUM THOUGHT GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT..F*** FACE......
what utter rubbish, what ever next ! What planet are these people on ?
I think this a wonderful idea for those in employment and are good tenants, i mean not everyone is "council house scum" that is such a label this demeaning to a very high percentage of hard workers. I am a teacher my husband an engineer, we can not afford a deposit for a home so we are stuck as tenants. So yes wonderful news. We do pay alot on rent so its nice to possibly get something back.
no way i work bloody hard to pay my mortgage and they get the handouts seems to me you are better off on the dole in a council flat

Should well-behaved council tenants be rewarded with £50k?
