On 2nd May 2008, 1,168,738 Londoners voted Boris Johnson Mayor of London. Beneath the bumbling public schoolboy caricature, is Boris really a shrewd and calculating political genius, or is he simply a buffoon? Peruse some of his most bizarre quotes and decide for yourself...
Is it true Boris's first meeting as mayor was in secret with David Ike?

To some extent I think the poll tax was a good thing at least everybody paid..why should someone owning there own house have to pay for services that everybody uses If a lower poll tax was started at an earlier age of 18 it may start to encourage younger people to accept a degree of responsibility, and maybe result in less vandalism
at the moment we have this unelected Prime Minister signing the Lisbon treaty and dening us the chance a referendum to take us into the EU against the wishes of a vast number of the population..we have more cctv cameras than any other country..I think uncle Joe Stalin would be proud of Commissar Brown
Interesting comments guys, I Remember The Poll Tax - 15% Interest Rates (how we all want that again) - - The farce regarding the EU - Lamont loosing all our money and a general feeling of look how well the Elite Class are doing. I also remember some foreign dictators coming to visit mm nice.. I don fall for the immigration scare tactics I just hate this merry go round of political crap, they all stem from the same source. Labour has at least stabilised the economy and done well in a Global Decline they at least are supposed to have social ethics and the uk is half screwed up due to the 80's Tory policy in the first place. We need radical change that means a fair society, real change, the torys are incapable of doing that.
worried about immigration perople are actually worried about the future, thatcher cared about slefish p
