There's a new Morecambe and Wise DVD out this week. Where do they rank in the pantheon of TV comedians? Are they the funniest ever duo to appear on the small screen? How do they rate against today's comedians? Have your say here.
"Bring me sunshine" they certainly did.Just thinking of them brings a smile to your face. The best ever, no-one could ever take their place. Plus it's classic knowing everybody was queueing up to be with the "two stars" on their show.We see the brilliant Ronnie Barker repeated now let's see repeats of Morecambe and Wise on the t.v, bring some real laughter into our homes."Wheyhey!"
Now these two were Mega star Celebrities. A wonderful unsurpassed double act. I can still visualise the Nothing but a Dame sketch and many other highlights. I am hard pressed to find their equal and I love a lot of British comedy. The two Ronnie's, French and Saunders, Jeeves and Wooster lots of pairings come to mind, lots of catch phrases but these two and 'A play wot I wrote'. The very very best of British.
THE BEST SAY NO MORE,
two brilliant people love too watch them again and again god bless them both hope they are having fun up and bringing sunshine up there now they are together love you both X X X
Who can forget Eric's classic line while looking out of the bedroom window (seeing an ambulance speeding by, sirens wailing); "He won't sell much ice-cream going at that speed!" Superb!
