There's a new Morecambe and Wise DVD out this week. Where do they rank in the pantheon of TV comedians? Are they the funniest ever duo to appear on the small screen? How do they rate against today's comedians? Have your say here.
M and W - British National Treasures - and wihout script genius Eddie Braben - "not a lot."
Very, very funny men, watched every time they were on, even had the privilage of seeing them live at the New Theatre in Cardiff. Like Peter from Leicester my favourite was the Shirley Bassey sketch
I had a great surprise when i bought the Sweeney box set and found the episode which included M & W apparently they asked John Thaw and Dennis Waterman onto their show and returned the compliment I need to know which show they appeared in.Anybody know which.
Eric & Ernie can never be beaten, they had natural talent, unlike Ant & Dec who aspire to following in their footsteps, but will never be as good as Eric & Ernie. They wre and are fantastic
eric &tea urn were the best comedy duo i have or seen or will ever see again. but i still love the two ronnies both great what a pity we have to compare the two or should i say four .cheers mike
