There's a new Morecambe and Wise DVD out this week. Where do they rank in the pantheon of TV comedians? Are they the funniest ever duo to appear on the small screen? How do they rate against today's comedians? Have your say here.
When Eric died I cried, and that's not something I do often when a celebrity dies.
Eric and Ernie were quite simply the greatest.
And, by the way, I cried when Ernie died too.
Favourite one liner:
"Have you got the scrolls? No I always walk like this"
I bet they are up there bringing 'em sunshine as well and loads of laughter. Even St Peter will have 'em booked in on 'Cloud Lucky Seven' With Laurel & Hardy topping the bill.
I hope you have some happy times up there lads now you are together again, you're worth it and one day we will all be laughing again at your Rack-man-an-off piano concerto.
Quite simply, they had and still have, no equal. Modern so-called comedians are not even on the same planet. I have seen the Andre Previn clip more times than I care to remember. i know it word-perfect and off by heart. But I still laugh. Every time.
Unbeatable.
Great clean comedy, theres no competetion today.
great entertainers boyh a sD LOSS all ways brought sunshine
