From Coronation Street to teen drama Hollyoaks, violent storylines have become the norm. Do you think the writers have gone too far and there is now too much violence in soaps? Have your say here...

i love eastenders but i think there is too much drinking and sex.It will give youngsters the wrong idea that it is ok to drink and sleep with whoevere you like.

i really hate this latest storyline about how syed will kiss christian.i think it really insults Islam in a horrible way.its bad enough about how they portray muslims with all this arranged marriage stuff that they're spouting now.but its way worse to insinuate homosexuality into it.i mean, i know it exists and everything, but not only is this latest storyline unrealistic, but its also the most insulting thing to have on tv: a muslim turning gay.i mean, come on!get real!!

As far as i'm concerned there has always been alot of sex and violence on tv, the difference is that more people are acting them out in real life instead of seeing them for what they are ficion. What does concern me is how every soap is based around a pub. It teaches especially the younger people to drink, to celebrate, to drink if your happy, to drink if your sad, to drink, if you have an arguement, to drink, basically because that's what adults do. Then they have the audacity to say that Britain has a drink problem! Don't make me laugh! Practice what you preach, that's what i say.

why is the sex and violence so graphic.people and children can use thier imagination without all the often repulsive scenes .It would be uplifting to have a few more stable ,careing relationships. .`
