Despite plonking a real mixture of people down in the jungle, like wheat separating from the chaff, the finalists were all jolly lovely. You could take Joe home to your mum, George home to your grandma, or Natrav to your girl friend who's looking for a girlfriend.
Despite our preference for lovelies, the jungle has proven once again that our thirst for idiots is yet to be quenched. Somehow Killjoy was not to our taste, but we grew to be entertained by the irritant that was Dollarman. Even fools like Mallett lasted longer than eye candy Carly or Dani.
Ultimately we love personalities, whether they be adorable or abhorrent, lovable or loathsome. We prefer people that polarize than placate.
The jungle may have become familiar territory to us – the kangaroo penises, the cockroaches in the pants, the bikinis in the shower and Ant and Dec’s matching jackets. But what never fails to surprise is the explosive combination of these personalities. Some of them are dynamite.
Joe certainly worked hard to earn his crown, George all but kissed his way to the top - but for me, Natrav reigns as the unchallenged queen of cool.
I don't normally watch this but I have to say I did enjoy it as soon as DVD and Timmy came in it was boring before hand and that tended to spark things off. I loved Joe and Martina and I'm pleased Jo won it.
I couldn't stand Ester before but have changed my mind about her, she's not bad, Nicola on the other hand I think she is vile, who does she think she is? DVD got up her back but then he'd get up mine to, Timmy, well what can I say, nice enough but I'd have to smack him after a while he would get on my nerves.
What's your next blog on Katie? Your jungle insights have been really enjoyable and as contentious as ever - great stuff
I agree, Martina is the Queen of cool, a true "ledge", but Joe deserved his crown. x
Joe was a star, well done! you deserved it xxx
