What do you think of The Apprentice results?

Lee won, Alex is out. What do you think of the results? Do you think the programme is good for British business and is it, as Sir Alan claims, making business attractive to the nation's youth? Or is it just gimmick-laden reality TV?

I really enjoy the programme although it is obviously contrived, and the candidates chosen for their entertainment value, not their business ability. But if they chose a bunch of highly competent, very sensible, professional, well-organised people, ie. the sort of people you would really consider for a top job, there wouldn't be much of a show - the entertainment is in watching them make a mess of things.

Sir Alan is not stupid, the contestamts probably don't last in his business as we never really hear about them afterwards. Oh yes Sir Alans gives his time free HA HA but what about all that free advertsing how much would all those weeks cost - a pretty penny. Oh and yes the show needs to be revamped its like sir alans face we all know where the lines are going as we do the programme..

My first video recorder was made by Amstrad one of those top loading VHS jobs it cost £400 quid in 1980. It did not last long like most other Amstrad products quality was an issue. Alan Sugar owned Amstrad.

Like many, I really enjoy the show, Indeed it is one of my favourites.
However, I am a realist , who has significant experienceof hiring and firing people.. one thing is obvious in regard to the show.. Those selected for the final cut are selected more in terms of their entertainment value than their potential as employees. In every series I have watched my first reaction to the majority of candidates is...
" there is no way Sir Alan, or indeed anyone with half a brain would select most of them as a serious runner for such a high scale post"...
Alan Sugar is no--one's fool , nor are his aides.. They know damn well that most of the candiidates are over blown charicatures who will help ratings ,, but are reallly just cannon--fodder. The way they whine, lie, bluster and weep and wail would get them ousted from any serious short list in any real set of interviews.
Ok , so the series is a bit of a con , but it is more entertaining than most reality based garbage.

The apprentice makes good tv, people love to see others make a mess of business and get told of at the end of the day or in sir alans word 'fired' but i very much doubt that it will make the youth of the day want to go into business if anything i think it may put them off!!
I would'nt work for him for all the love and money in the world lol
