New technology will soon make it possible to use your mobile on passenger flights. Will this be convenient or irritating? Do you yearn to make in-flight calls or will you be irked by fellow passengers who cry "Hello? I'm on a plane!"? Share your thoughts and cast a vote.
very good idea
i put up with people on phones on the bus. they drive me mad just traveling 5 miles. i think i would hit someone on a plain after a 5 hour flight.
I cannaot imagine anything worse than being sat next to someone who is using a mobile phone on a plane - its like the end of civilization. There is just no need for them and we will have the usual Chav's talking absolute garbage and in a loud voice so everyone has to suffer. This is all about Airlines creaming in more money. If I was to be given a choice I would certianly chose an Airline that banned them. If I am ever unfortunate enough to be sitting next to someone using one on an Airplane and they just happen to be talking in a loud voice so everbody can hear them I will make as much noise as possible to disrupt their call - it is a no brainer and thats exactly the sort of people who will be using them.
no way do i want to sit trapped in a plane for hours on end and listen to seemingly pointless telephone conversations, or worse still constant jangling tones of yet another text message has been received. ban them on trains as well.
"I'M on A PLANE!" - please God let them stay on the ground. If they ever spoke anything but drivel on the damned things it wouldn't be so bad. Try sitting in a Business Class Lounge for an hour - it's an education in the unthinking talking to the uninterested - so keep my holiday trip as quiet and personal as possible please.
