Two British women have been arrested after a drunken rampage 30,00ft up in the air ended with one of them attempting to open the cabin door, screaming: “I want some fresh air!” In the same weekend, the mayor of Faliraki was celebrating the absence of British holidaymakers at the Greek holiday resort. The Guardian quoted him as saying: “There are far fewer Britons, which means no rapes, no accidents, no drunken debauchery, no going on the rampage. I'm so relieved.”
Are the Brits really the worst behaved when abroad? What compels us to get so drunk and behave so badly? Share your thoughts.
Sadly it's all true about our young people both here and when they're abroad. Loud, uncouth, obnoxious; what a reputation we have now compared to the past when were respected and even envied by many as an example of good manners, fair play and decency. Now it's 'anything for a laff' (sic) and get legless at every opportunity. What a sad reflection of our society and culture which once led the world in so many ways. Now it's all about 'my rights' and selfishness. Is it any wonder that the muslims and hindus look at us with revulsion for the behaviour they see, which is so different from the values they have been brought to believe in? I'm talking here of the average muslim or hindu, not the tiny percentage of fundamentalists - who are warped and choose to misinterpret their religion to suit their political aims.
The British have become decadent and barbaric, reflected in the kind of trash we ceaselessly send abroad. The rest of Europe has learnt to fear us for the loudmouthed, poorly-educated, obnoxious drunks we are.
This is very sad, because they once expected more from us than other nationalities.
British are the worst holiday makers I ever come across in uk Europe and all over the world. They have now got the fatest growth of sexually transmited dieases. Women are the worst and they talk about girl power, Rubbish. They just got their sexuality freedom and earning more money now and they think they are girl power. They don't know how to behave they are badly dressed no class and dinity and it makes me ashamed to be a british women travelling around the world. Uneducated is the what I classed them not professional.
I have travelled extensively in Europe and I have to say that I have never seen drunkenness and antisocial behaviour there as we get here (and on holiday in european resorts) Why is that, probably because the English are in comparison to our European neighbours, yobbish, uneducated, anti-sociable and boorish. If you find a pile of vomit, or a pool of urine, a collapsed 20 something or a drunken girl with her tits out in Greece for example you can bet your holiday money its English. Whats the answer? there isnt one, our society is irreperably damaged and the behaviour of tourists is only one example. I wish I could afford to leave, if I could I would tomorrow.
The bad behavior is fueled by young women who now have the freedom to do what they like, when they like from parents who just can't be bothered anymore.
