P.P.S. As a child, went on a boat hols. on the River Thames, for aweek - great fun/laughs going through the Locks!!! Great family hols, for families which include difference in age groups. Have also done the Norfolk Broads, but enjoyed the Thames and it's locks better!
P.s. Bognor Regis and Butlins
Sandy Balls and the New Forest. Portsmouth and Southsea. IOW, - Sandown, Blackgang Chine.Cornwall - Looe and Paulpearo (sorry, spellings wrong). on a P&O Ferry from Pompey to Bilbeo (turn around and come back), - 4 day mini cruise - Pompey's never looked so fantastic, as from the 'Pride of Bilbeo'.
Hastings,in a tent aahhh many a happy evening!
Avoid Whitley Bay like the plague. Its full of Clubs catering for chavs on stag or hen nights, and the local authorities in the area use it as a bed and breakfast dumping ground for all their ASBO trash.
Mind you, if you're an alcoholic chav on benefits you'll probably love it...
