Despite the foul weather, plenty of us are planning to take our summer holidays in the UK. Are you a big fan of holidaying in Britain? Have you had great experiences of seaside towns and resorts? What are your top tips for a truly great break in Blighty? Share all your thoughts and tips here.
For cracking value for money I don't think you can beat Presthaven Sands holiday camp in Prestatyn, North Wales or the Haven camp at Skegness. But I have to say I think Presthaven Sands has to be my personal favourite. Me and the missus took the grandkids a few years back and it was fantastic. Great entertainment, great beer, bingo every afternoon for the missus and plenty for the kids to do. And you get a massive serving of fish and chips for £2.50 in the chippy on the camp. The young girls and lads that work in these camps are a credit to their employers, they can't do enough to help you and they're not earning very much at all. At least they don't smile to your face and then start pulling their faces and bellyaching about you behind your back like you get from these foreigners when you're abroad.
Had some great holidays in uk as a child, and made some really great lasting friends. A few of my favourites are, Isle o wight,Weymouth and North Devon. Great memories.
