As budget airline Ryanair considers introducing a fat tax we ask: do you think overweight people should pay more to travel?
I am of the larger style person and dont mind if I had to pay for 2 seats and get them side by side or that could be a major problem how would they solve that one. Charge you a pound for cutting you in half.
I'M NOT A FAN OF RYANAIR BUT AT LEAST THEY ARE ADDRESSI NG A PROBLEM THAT THE PC BRIGADE ARE TOO TIMID TO TACKLE. WHEN I PAY FOR AN AIRLINE SEAT I EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO USE ALL OF IT. THERE'S NOTHING WORSE THAN THE FAT PERSon NEXT TO ME SHARING MY SEAT BECAUSE THEIR BULK CANNOT BE ConTAINED. IF YOU WANT TO SHARE MY SEAT THEN PAY FOR IT.
Don'T TELL ME OBESITY CAN BE DUE TO A MEDICAL ConDITIon, ITS BECAUSE FAT PEOPLE EAT TOO MUCH.
What a good idea I've always said we should be assessed on total weight i.e pasenger and bagage, after all its about total weight on aircraft. why should a passenger weighing 48kg have the same baggage allowance has someone weighing 80kg. lets hope more airlines follow.
Ryanair will be charging us to breath on their flights next. They are right at the bottom of my favourite airlines list. By the time they have finished charging for everything they are no cheaper that the regular airlines. I avoid them like the plague and I fly all the time.
Ryan air are so bad they would have to pay me to go with them, once you add all the bit's on they are more expencive than monarch
