Ryanair considers 'fat tax'

As budget airline Ryanair considers introducing a fat tax we ask: do you think overweight people should pay more to travel?

Why is it ok to have a go at over weight people ?? but you cant call old people, coloured people and gay people. If lets say all Black people were naturally heavy people then there is no way anyone would get away with referring to fat people and you would not get away with charging them more to fly. A six foot average male might weigh in at about 12 stone A six foot body builder will top the 15/16 stone mark so do you make him pay more if not then how can you make a 5foot 8 inch man how also weighs in at 15 stone pay more because is bmi is higher

I think this is an excellent idea people should step onto a scale with their luggage and pay extra if over the limit.

rather than bitching about someones weight, Rayanair passengers should be making Ryanair look after passangers by giving them excellent service , not using extra charges to boost profits for a poor service. How long will iy be before Ryanair charges you for a ticket and then charges axtre for the seat, use of toilet, etc. They are already ripping off costomers , fly BA its cheaper in the long run..

There should be a charge for total weight that each person brings onto the plane - including their baggage and their self.
It costs more in fuel charges to fly at 20stone person than a 10 stone person, so what they pay should account for this.

dont know about anyone else but i prefer a bit more luxury when i fly, try BA they may have higher flight prices but when you take the baggage, check in, food onboard and the idea for fat tax and pay to use the loo BA works out cheaper most of the time. and they are polite and friendly where as ryanair are just what you'd expect!!!
