Have to say, Gatwick is my local airport and never had any problems through there. If u want excellent airports - take a look at Edinburgh - so easy to use and never a delay!!
on the flip side - Dabolim International, Goa - what a serious dump. Several power cuts per hour - worrying after a 10hr flight and a holiday in paradise looming that it takes 2hrs to get through immigration and another 2 to get your luggage!!
For those who complaint. Don't flight then. Stay in this wonderful country call Britain.
Zante airport is terrible.So tiny that you have to wait outside if another flight is landing on your return home.You can wait outside for hours too and ther are very very few seating areas outside.It's very small inside too.Also doesn't open until about 7am so if you're on a night flight you have a very long wait outside as you're still picked up 4 hours before your flight.
HEATHROW IS A DUMP AND A NIGHTMARE TO GET into AND OUT OF,EVERYTIME I TRAVEL FROM THIS AIRPORT SOMETHING GOES wrong,USUALLY LOST LUGGAGE WHICH on onE JOURNEY WAS NEVER FOUND,I WAS ATTENDING AN IMPORTANT BUSINESS FUNCTIon on THE EVENING OF ARRIVAL AND THEY LOST MY FORMAL SUIT AND ATTIRE IT WAS A DISASTER,THE SMALLER REGIonAL AIRPORTS ARE GETTING BETTER BUT THEY NEED MORE COST EFFECTIVE LonG HAUL
I have to disagree with Mike regarding Schipol, I think it's very confusing. Instead of a single large passport control area there are lots of small ones which just takes ages, it's a good job the signing is flawless because otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue!
The actual terminal itself is lovely, very modern and spacious, but the layout leaves something to be desired.
