Pampered pooch inherits $12m

Pampered pooch inherits $12m

Is it ever acceptable to bequest money to a pet? New York billionaire Leona Helmsley has left $12m (£5.97m) to her pet dog, Trouble. Is this a terrible waste of money or is safeguarding the upkeep of a loved pet understandable? Should the courts overturn her will and leave the money to her family instead? Have your say.

Her money, her dog she's entitled to do what she wants. If it was given to family et al the Government would surely tax it 3 times over! Mind you if they get wind of this they may start taxing money left to animals...or do they already???
