Pampered pooch inherits $12m

Pampered pooch inherits $12m

Is it ever acceptable to bequest money to a pet? New York billionaire Leona Helmsley has left $12m (£5.97m) to her pet dog, Trouble. Is this a terrible waste of money or is safeguarding the upkeep of a loved pet understandable? Should the courts overturn her will and leave the money to her family instead? Have your say.

yes, you should be allowed to leave your money to your pet, to keep it well looked after to the end of its life.so much a week/month should be allocated to a trusted person to look after the pet

I think the yanks are all 'barking' mad (pardon the pun)!!! As long as the dog is looked after properly and lavished with love, why would it need all that dough? Give it to charity, I say.

She's obviously barking! In cases like this the money should go to charity.
