Do the Royal Family have a right to privacy?

This weekend The Sunday Times reported details of a blackmail plot against a Royal. The identity of the Royal involved in the alleged sex and drugs blackmail plot remains protected by court order. Do taxpayers have the right to know more or is the scandal a private matter for the Royal Family?

Ther are far more serious things going on in the world to be concerned about. I have nothing against the royal family and quite frankly am not concerned about any scandal the press seem eager to expose!

Here we go again - another scandal - another coverup, when will this royal family ever learn?
How on earth can we be expected to respect them when all they seem to do is make a mockery of us commoners - by abusing their power, money and trust and worse of all their attitude of "we are the royals we can do anything and get away with it" and it certainly appears they do!

All this talk of the parasitic Royals, especialy about drugs and sex, is poppycock. (Geddit?)
